ABOUT US
We are a group of artists, activists and scholars from India, Italy and the UK, who came together, somehow fortuitously, in Pune, India.
We are connected by our interest in the ways that politics intertwine with human and more than human ecologies, and its relation with creating and subverting intersectional patterns of political, social and economic marginalisation.
With this exhibition, we come together for the first time as a collective to explore an alternative space outside dominant academic representations of water relations. To think with and narrate water creatively through poetry, paradoxes, sketches and animations, to illuminate those barely visible challenges we collectively face as interconnected bodies of water.

Irene
Irene is a PhD fellow at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, in the Netherlands. She is part of the feminist political ecology network WEGO. Her research looks at processes of agrarian transformation and water re-allocation in India from a feminist perspective. She is interested in different ways of knowing and representing and narrating waters, farmers'practices and experiences in troubled socionatures.
Arianna
Arianna is a PhD student in Human Geography at Manchester University, UK. Her research focuses on the intersecting impact of climate change, development policies and process of rural agrarian transformation in drought-affected areas in Maharashtra from a feminist perspective.
Sneha
Sneha has a background in architecture and urban development studies. She works in socio-spatial practice & research in the context of disaster recovery and sustainable practices.
She enjoys using research and illustrations as tools for advocacy and story-telling.

Enid
Enid is a PhD Fellow at Passau University in Germany. She is part of the feminist political ecology network, WEGO. Her research is on the ethics of more-than-human interdependency and the politics of care within alternative food networks in Tamil Nadu, India. She is exploring the possibilities of sketching and counter-cartography as methodologies that enable seeing, feeling and thinking differently.
